CUSTOMERS FEEDBACK

My mom was recently diagnosed with dementia. Unfortunately, she fell a broke her hip last week. While I was meeting with the hospital's physical therapist, she suggested that I get mom a sensory blanket. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner?! This mat has been the perfect distraction for mom. She's no longermessing with her blankets or her IV and it has helped her calm down and relax.

This is a nice puzzle. The box to store and put it together in is a great idea. There is a book that is included with bright colorful pictures of birds, what a bonus! The pieces are large, thick, and put together very nicely. I recommend this puzzle.

She has moderate dementia and very limited powers of figuring out anything “complicated”. These lovely photo-pictures in the matching game bring her joy even just to look at, and she likes the feel of the sturdy cards, and putting them in the correct slots. I tend to mix 2 sets up and present her with one “base” card, to involve a bit more sorting on her part. I also get her to read me the word on each card (I pretend I don’t have my reading glasses on!). All in all, a great activity, beautifully made.

Brought it to my residents on the memory floor. They LOVED this doll! One woman looked at her and told her her eyes sparkled. Another wouldn’t let me take her away. They instantly fell in love with this baby doll. I didn’t try to pretend it was a real baby. It just brought out so much love and smiles with these residents. I just bought another as a gift to another memory community.

Got these for my grandmother, who suffers from memory deficits, to give her something to look at besides the TV. I like the large, glossy photos and numerous booklets she can pick up and flip through before her attention wanders to something else. The great-grandkids also like looking at them with her when they come to visit, so that's a bonus.
